April 18, 2008: Australian Vintage Limited last night announced a new community partnership with The Smith Family.Australian Vintage CEO Dane Hudson and The Smith Family CEO Elaine Henry signed an agreement that sees Australian Vintage extend its corporate citizenship program into the national landscape. They will invest in The Smith Family’s ‘Learning for Life’, a suite of evidence-based integrated programs that provide financially disadvantaged students and families with assistance at key transition points throughout their lives.The three-year partnership will see Australian Vintage assist in the growth of the economic, human and social capital of Australia through participation in financial scholarships, mentoring and personal development programs for which The Smith Family is renowned. In particular, Australian Vintage’s investment in mentoring will see the upgrade of The Smith Family’s online facilitated mentoring chat room for students and their mentors. A range of Australian Vintage employees will also devote their time as mentors to students across many areas including production, marketing, finance and agriculture.Dane Hudson said: “We support and share the mission of The Smith Family to provide disadvantaged Australians with positive educational opportunities and enriched, life-long learning experiences.
